Absolutely beautiful location. I had to have my picture taken here right where the yacht was docked in that iconic scene in Wolf of Wall Street. It was such a lovely sunny day when I visited, I should've hung around here for hours. Nice view of Jersey City from here too. Surprisingly quiet when I visited, but I'm not complaining.
It's a thrill to sail into New York harbor, past the Statue of Liberty, and then dock your boat next to the megayachts, right under the Freedom Tower in New York City in North Cove Marina. An expensive thrill.
This is also the marina that was right beside the twin towers and that was used to rescue and ferry people away from that tragedy on 9/11.
For us, this marina was worth every penny because it allowed an elderly wheelchair bound NYC relative to visit our boat because of the access it afforded.
And there was nothing better than hanging out on our sailboat, Golden Glow, at Happy Hour in such a special place...for a brief visit.
This is the most amazing marina we have docked after 3 circumnavigations around the world. The place is beautiful, and a real New York feeling! Safe, with restaurants, shopping and sport and cultural venues all around it was a pleasure our stay here for the 4th of July 22! Thanks IGY staff and new Yorkers!

We lived literally a few blocks from here by the water and we absolutely loved walking by the marina in the evenings. After visiting many cities throughout the US, this is still one of the most beautiful and clean waterfront areas.
Can’t wait to return. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. They helped with every detail from tying up to departure. North Cove is in the center of everything in lower Manhattan.
Definitely my favorite spot in Manhattan during summertime, beautiful sunset to catch over the Hudson with this little harbor filled with yachts and sailing boats. Hidden gem
